    Dear all

We are designing a course of "Corporate Sustainability" for the students of Master Research in management (a master leading to PhD in management). It is a research oriented course whose objective is to acquaint the students with the different research approaches, prevailing school of thoughts, and prominent theories related to Corporate Sustainability and CSR. After this course, students will be able to develop a research problem in CSR/corporate sustainability research.

    1.  If you are teaching such a course, please share your course outlines

    2.  Please suggest us sustainability related theories with the related articles. For example

    a.  Campbell (2007) for Institutional theory

    b.  Stakeholder theory  freeman 1984

    c.  Basu and Palazzo (2008) for Process view of CSR Sensemaking,

    d.  McCarthy and Puffer (2008) for the social contract theory,

    e.  Scherrer et Palazzo (2007) for the critical theory

    f.  The economics of conventions Philippe Batifoulier 2001

    3.  Please suggest us other seminal articles/papers that you deem necessary for this course.

    Thanking in anticipation.

    Best Regards

    Hello,

You might want to have a look into the "The Five element guide", made as a masters thesis, but that is wonderfully practical (and the guy who wrote it lives almost around your corner). You can find it linked to my blog via http://gsbblogs.uct.ac.za/walterbaets/files/2009/09/Fiveelements.pdf

Another interesting site is the one of Michael Ben Eli,  http://www.sustainabilitylabs.org/

    Hope it helps you further

    Bye

    Hi Omer,

The Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina maintains a database of sustainability syllabi submitted to the "Page Prize for Sustainability Issues in Business Curricula." I think you will find a lot of good resources and materials for you class in this database. It can be found on the Moore School's partner page at the Aspen Institute's caseplace.org or on the home page for the Page Prize at Moore School's web page. The electronic materials used in the syllabi can also be accessed separately here.

    I hope this helps.
