Hi everyone,
I'm sorry to email you all about more or less the same topic twice in one day, but I wanted to let you know about another <st1:place w:st="on">Aspen</st1:place> web conference that has just been scheduled, and is coming up soon.
"Sustainability and Stakeholders in the Finance Discipline," featuring John Becker-Blease, Assistant Professor of Finance at Oregon State University College of Business. The web conference is free of charge, and will be held at 12 noon Eastern on Thursday, October 29. Please email Chad Ayotte at chad.ayotte@aspeninst.org to attend.
Professor Becker-Blease has done significant thinking about integrating the stakeholder approach into finance, and teaches finance using a stakeholder-based approach. He has created an introductory MBA finance course with a stakeholder focus, which is available at <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:city w:st="on">Aspen</st1:city></st1:place>'s CasePlace site, at http://www.caseplace.org/d.asp?d=2853. (A free registration is required to view the syllabus.)
I hope you can join us for this event, and the others I mentioned earlier, all of which (in my humble opinion) promise to be outstanding! Please also pass these emails along to any colleagues you think might be interested. Thanks!
Best,
Rachel
