    Position in Strategic Management and Public Policy-World Executive MBA Program

    The School of Business at The George Washington University will launch a unique World Executive MBA program effective August 2010. The program to be taught by the university’s world-class faculty will team with selected high profile universities in India, China and Europe. The proposed curriculum will include an on-line format and residences in the above countries. The program will also include a strong project development component emphasizing face-to face interaction with corporate executives from leading firms in India, China and Europe.

    To support the new World Executive MBA program, TThe Department of Strategic Management and Public policy invites applications for appointment to a tenure-track position as Assistant, Associate/or Full Professor starting fall, 2009. The department has played a pivotal role in the school’s leadership status in the area of social and environmental issues in business and management. The department is home to the GW Institute of Corporate Responsibility. The School of Business which is located in the heart of the nation’s capital has access to and involvement with international institutions and government organizations, non-profits, industry, professional and advocacy organizations.

    Basic Qualifications: Applicants for this position must have completed all requirements for the Ph.D. degree in business or a closely related field by August 1, 2009. For appointment to the Assistant level, applicants must have demonstrated potential for success in scholarship as evidenced by research, publication in leading journals and/or works in progress. For appointment at a senior level (Associate/Full), applicants must have a record of publications in top tiered journals and/or significant business experience. All applicants must have considerable experience working with corporations and governments internationally, demonstrated success in attracting and fostering high level corporate relationships with the potential to result in private sector student projects, and must travel to India, China and Europe periodically throughout the course of the year to supervise student projects. These projects will assist in delivering a cutting edge World Executive MBA program.
