    Research Assistant with PhD Research Studentship in Corporate Sustainability


    Euromed Management Marseille ranks among the top ten of French business
    schools with a strong focus on responsibility, innovation and diversity.
    Euromed Management School is offering a position as Research Assistant with
    a PhD Research Studentship in the area of Corporate Sustainability. The
    position is part of an international research project on the assessment of
    corporate sustainability performance with the Sustainable Value approach.
    The position will be located in Marseille with the opportunity to pursue a
    PhD Research Studentship at Queen’s University Management School Belfast
    which is one of the research partners of Euromed Management School in this
    project. Tuition fees at Queen’s University for the PhD Research Studentship
    are covered. Commencing 1 September 2009 for three years the position does
    not involve any teaching load and is remunerated according to the standard
    rates for research assistants at Euromed Management School.

    Mission

    The successful applicant will be required to work in an international
    research project on corporate sustainability assessment funded by a Swedish
    research foundation in close collaboration with colleagues at Euromed
    Management School and international research partners. This includes data
    collection on corporate sustainability performance, the application and
    development of the Sustainable Value approach to assess corporate
    sustainability performance of a sample of Nordic companies, and the
    development of a sustainability performance index. The PhD project will
    address a research question relevant to the field of corporate
    sustainability management/corporate sustainability performance
    evaluation/sustainable finance. Preferably, it will be closely related to
    the research undertaken in the international research project.

    Academic Requirements and Profile

    The following academic requirements apply to the position:
    Applicants should
    * hold a Masters degree or equivalent with outstanding results in a relevant
    area,
    * have a strong interest in corporate sustainability, financial markets and
    the assessment and analysis of corporate sustainability performance,
    * display strong written and oral English skills as the working language
    within the research project will be English, and
    * display strong analytical skills and a strong motivation to work in an
    ambitious international research context.

    Applications are encouraged from people seeking to pursue an academic
    career. French language skills as well as experience with qualitative and/or
    quantitative tools for statistical analysis are desirable. The position will
    require regular travel within Europe.

    position. Proposals should be for empirical research involving qualitative

    visa or persons being resident in the EU for the last 3 years not as a
