Please join us for a PDW co-sponsored by the SIM, CMS, and OMT divisions entitled
A Time for New Topics in Management Curricula? Faculty Perceptions of Sustainability and Other Social Topics in the Classroom
Results of a recent survey of SIM members regarding relevant 'non-traditional' topics they are covering or they feel should be covered in their courses include, business development in post-conflict zones, health-care reform and the role of the corporation, disaster management, and the influence of governments as owners or part owners of corporations.
These findings will serve as a springboard for a dialogue during an interactive 90 minute workshop (8/8/09 8am) about what topics are currently being taught, as well as pedagogical methods for incorporating the newer, non-traditional topics into the curriculum going forward. Hope you can join us!
