    Hi everyone,

Before you run off for the holidays, I wanted to let you know about a couple of new things from The Aspen Institute Center for Business Education.

Bringing Mining and Metals Issues into the MBA Classroom

We've just created some great new tools for teaching about social and environmental impacts in the mining and metals industry.  A teaching module for use in the classroom is available at http://www.caseplace.org/d.asp?d=3336

The creators of the collection and some leading thinkers on the subject matter will be convened on a web conference entitled "Preparing Responsible Managers for the Mining and Metals Industry" on January 22nd at 12 pm Eastern.

Featured speakers will be Dr. R. Anthony Hodge, President of the International Council on Mining and Metals (ICMM), an industry group that plays a leading role in supporting socially and environmentally responsible behavior within the industry, and Abigail Abrash Walton, Associate Faculty in the Department of Environmental Studies at Antioch University New England.  Maureen Scully, Professor of Management at UMASS-Boston will moderate.

To attend the web conference, please RSVP to me at rachel.shattuck@aspeninst.org.
