To those submitting to the SIM Division program for the 2009 Academy of Management meeting:
The Academy's online submission system closed a day early, apparently during the early morning EST, by mistake, but has now been fixed. The problem was experienced by a number of people submitting from time zones to the west of the Academy's zone. Program chairs were notified that the system is now working normally. The official closing time is 5pm today. If you are racing the clock, remember to take a few minutes to get your ID number first, in order to insert it into your paper's header before uploading your paper.
Another glitch had to do with a request in the online system in one place to identify 5 keywords, and in another place to identify no more than 3 keywords. The system actually only accepted 3 keywords. I notified the Academy, who tell me it is now fixed, as well. Sorry for the annoyance to those who encountered this.
As of 9:30am EST, the SIM Division had 196 started submissions (i.e., not all are yet finalized). This suggests that we have a chance to exceed last year's total by a significant amount. Good news for SIM!!
It's not too late to sign up for reviewing......
