Dear Aarti and others, Please see our website for the Subsistence Marketplaces Initiative at http://www.business.illinois.edu/subsistence where we have some syllabi attached under the teaching tab. We teach a yearlong interdisciplinary course that includes an international immersion trip on Sustainable Product and Market Development for Subsistence Marketplaces, a course on Sustainable Marketing Enterprises for first year MBAs, and a module for first semester undergrads (required for all from next year) on Sustainable Businesses for Subsistence Marketplaces. Subject: [SIM] Syllabus ~ Corporate Sustainability / Sustainable Enterprise
Dear Colleagues:
I am currently designing the following two graduate, seminar-based, courses connected with corporate sustainability, which I plan to teach this summer to students enrolled in Master of Science in Management and MBA programs.
- The first course is on Assessing Organizational Performance (using the triple-bottom-line framework).
- The second course is on Designing Sustainable Enterprise.
As I am teaching a graduate-level course for the first time, I would like to seek your help and advice, if you have had experience of teaching similar graduate courses. Will you please share your course syllabus with me? And, if you have any advice on multimedia resources that I can use in my classes, please share that with me.
Even if you have taught/or are teaching graduate courses (either with a national or global orientation) on strategic management and sustainability; sustainable enterprise; triple-bottom-line reporting; and courses on base-of-the-pyramid strategies and social enterprise/entrepreneurship, I will find it very helpful to refer to your syllabus. And, if you have some interesting readings, that your students found very valuable, then please recommend that to me too.
Thanks a lot for your help!
Regards,
Aarti
