Please join us for our Third Annual "BUSINESS FOR THE LONG RUN"
faculty conference on sustainable business, Saturday, May 20,
    2006, at Seattle University.

The conference brings leaders from business, government, NGOs and
educational institutions together to present and discuss ways
they integrate sustainable business practices into their work and
teaching. The participatory format can enable you to network,
share and discuss challenges and achievements, and come away with
resources that will enrich your research and teaching for
    graduate and undergraduate students.

Last year, more than 60 faculty members attended from the
Universities of Oregon, Washington, Washington State-Vancouver,
British Columbia and Alberta; from Seattle, Antioch, Western
Washington, Simon Fraser, Royal Roads and Portland State
    Universities; and Bainbridge Graduate Institute.

This year, the workshop will be tailored to fit your needs and
interests in teaching sustainable business. Topics may include,
but not be limited to: steady state economics, cradle-to-cradle
design, organizing and accounting for the triple bottom line,
carbon emissions disclosure and trading, finance, and integrated
    supply chain management.

This year's conference is being hosted by the Albers School of
Business and Economics at Seattle University. The planning
committee includes representatives from Seattle University,
University of Washington, Antioch University Seattle, Bainbridge
Graduate Institute, Royal Roads University and the Network for
Business Innovation and Sustainability. We hope you will mark
your calendar and plan to attend.

We invite you to share this announcement with others who would be
    interested.
