The "India and Sustainability Standards: International Dialogues & Conference" is conceived and organized by the Centre for Responsible Business (CRB) in partnership with several partner organizations. The event has now become a much awaited international sustainability conference based in India.
In 2017, the event was held from 15-17 November at India Habitat Centre (IHC), New Delhi. The theme of 2017 conference was "From Tragedies of the Commons to the Strategies for the Commons". The event offered an occasion to dialogue on challenges and opportunities presented by international and Indian Sustainability Standards and Collaborative Sustainability Initiatives, in supporting business and policy contributions towards positive social, economic and environmental impacts in India and beyond. This Call for Papers is also open to colleagues who will not be able to attend the conference in India during November 2017, but who wish to submit papers for potential publication in this special volume.
In accordance with the high academic standards promoted by the JEAM, this worldwide call of papers for the Indian and Sustainability Standards Conference is focused upon but is not limited to the following themes:
· Progress in Cleaner Production and Technical Processes
· Sustainable Development and Sustainability: How Should they be Interconnected
· Sustainable Consumption: Integral to Essential Societal Transitions
· Environmental and Sustainability Assessments of Societal Transitions
· Sustainable Products and Services
· Corporate Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility
· Education for Sustainable Development
· Governance, Legislation, and Policies
· Development and Growth - their implication on Sustainability
Tentative schedule:
· Initial submission of full papers: 20th December 2017
· Deadline for submission of full papers: 31st January 2018
· Peer-review, revision and feedback on the papers: 30th April 2018
· Notification of final decisions on the papers: 20th May 2018
· Publication of the special volume of all accepted papers: 31st May 2018
