  • 1.  AMLE Special Section on Sustainability: Essay, Survey, and Reviews

    Posted 11-21-2017 08:07

    Dear SIM colleagues,

The Academy of Management Learning & Education (AMLE) has recently published a books & resource review Special Topic Section on "Teaching Sustainability". It includes a useful collection of reflections and reviews of favourite resources on sustainability (e.g. textbooks, cases, simulations, apps, videos, and databases) as selected by a group of top excellent colleagues.

Additionally, Alfie, Jorge, Amy and I have provided an essay on the difficulties related with the teaching materials to balance planet, people, and firms' profitability. This essay also includes a selection of the main findings from a survey to the subscribers of the ONE and SIM lists. Thank you very much, once again, to the 169 respondents participating in this original initiative! We sincerely hope that it will be useful for everybody.

Please, find below the list of works for your convenience.

    Best wishes,

    https://www.routledge.com/The-Business-Students-Guide-to-Sustainable-Management-Principles-and/Molthan-Hill-Molthan-Hill/p/book/9781783533190

The Business Student's Guide to Sustainable Management has become a core textbook for business undergraduates. With a full introduction to sustainable management ...
This second edition features fully updated chapters on how to integrate the Sustainable Development Goals into accounting, marketing, HR and other subjects in management and business studies. Furthermore, this second edition offers brand new chapters on how to teach the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) in any business discipline, how to explore new business models designed to support sustainable development and how to crowdsource for sustainable solutions.

The book contains over 40 ready-made seminars/short workshops which enable teachers and students to integrate the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into every discipline in business, including economics, operations, marketing, HR, and financial reporting. Each chapter follows the same easy-to-use format.
