    Dear SIM colleagues,

I hope that all is well.

Michael W. Hansen and yours truly along with Adam Lindgreen from the Copenhagen Business School are co-editing an edited volume on "Business and Development Studies - Issues and Perspectives" to be published by Routledge. The core idea of the book is to explore and define "Business and Development Studies" as an emerging academic discipline which has as its central theme whether and if so how private companies help in promoting or undermining 'development' (however defined) in the Global South.

I attach the call for papers/book chapters. We invite contributions on the following themes: a) local firms and development; b) international business and development; c) corporate social responsibility and development; d) entrepreneurship, innovation and development; e) governance, business and development; and e) emerging and cross-cutting themes.

Deadline for submission of full chapters is 1 January 2018 to either pl.msc@cbs.dk or mwh.msc@cbs.dk. Please do not hesitate to contact us in case you have any queries. If you are interested in contributing a chapter and find that the deadline is too short, do let us know and we will see if we can work something out.

    All best wishes

    Peter
