    Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor of Organizational Communication

    Texas State University

    McCoy College of Business Administration

    Department of Management

     

     

    Description:

    Teaching undergraduate and/or graduate management courses in business communication and professional development at the main campus in San Marcos and the campus in Round Rock; serving as course coordinator for all Business Communication and Professional Development courses; conducting and publishing high-quality scholarly research in peer-reviewed management journals; and providing service to the profession, Texas State University, and the business community that is consistent with the college mission. Start date will be Spring or Fall 2018.

     

    Required Qualifications:

    Candidates must have a Ph.D. in management or a closely related area from an AACSB accredited school at the time of application. The successful applicant will receive the appropriate rank and title based on university and department established standards.

     

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Rank of Professor: Preference will be given to candidates who provide evidence of: sustained excellence in teaching management courses, especially business communication and professional development courses, and course coordinator experience; continuous scholarly research in management journals and an active research program; and prior mentoring of junior faculty research efforts.

     

    Rank of Associate Professor: Preference will be given to candidates who provide evidence of: sustained excellence in teaching management courses, especially business communication and professional development courses, and course coordinator experience; continuous scholarly research in management journals and an active research program.

     

    Rank of Assistant Professor: Preference will be given to candidates who provide evidence of: post graduation excellence in teaching management courses, especially business communication and professional development courses, and course coordinator experience; active and growing research program and publication record in management journals.
