    Dear SBE Colleagues,

We are just over a month away from the SBE Annual Conference in Atlanta at the Sheraton! All conference details, including registration, hotel information and the latest version of the conference and pre-conference program, are available at: https://www.sbeonline.org/conference/2017/

    Some highlights:

    1. A Pre-Conference session, Teaching Business Ethics Effectively: Insights from Master Teachers, will take place on Thursday, August 3rd from 2:00pm to 5:00pm just prior to our traditional International Reception for those arriving early from abroad. This interactive session will feature presentations led by Joanne Ciulla (Rutgers), Jeffrey Sonnenfeld (Yale), Anne Lawrence (San Jose State), Marshall Schminke (Central Florida) and Christopher Adkins (Notre Dame). Special thanks to Bradley Agle (Brigham Young) and the Wheatley Institute for organizing and sponsoring this session.

    2. The Plenary Session, Business Ethics During the Trump Administration: Challenges and Responses of Responsible Business, will kick off the conference on Friday, August 4th at 1:00pm. Bruce Barry (Vanderbilt), Amy Sepinwall (Wharton), Patricia Werhane (Darden and DePaul), Norman Bowie (Minnesota) and Andreas Scherer (Zurich) will offer their reflections this theme before turning things over to the SBE membership for an interactive discussion.

    3. The SBE joins the Social Issues in Management (SIM) division of the Academy to again co-sponsor this year's Keynote Address, Conscious Capitalism: Creating a World in Which Everybody Matters-and Everyone Wins, presented by Raj Sisodia, Olin Distinguished Professor and Whole Foods Market Research Scholar at Babson College, on Saturday, August 5th at 5:30pm, followed by a reception at 6:30pm.

Please let me know if you have any questions (sbeprogramchair2017@gmail.com) and I hope to see as many of you as possible in Atlanta.

    Best wishes,
    Jeffery Smith
