    OPEN RANK PROFESSOR IN BUSINESS ETHICS

     

    Position summary: The Management Department of the Leavey School of Business at Santa Clara University invites applications for an open rank (tenured/tenure track) professor position in Business Ethics beginning September, 2016.

                                                                           

    Qualifications: Candidates must have a Ph.D. or equivalent from an AACSB-International accredited university in business ethics (with either a behavioral or a philosophical approach), or a closely related field such as corporate social responsibility or corporate social performance. Candidates must have demonstrated or show strong potential for excellence in research and teaching business ethics at the undergraduate and/or graduate level.

The university is on a quarter system and generally requires faculty to teach two courses each quarter during the academic year.

     

    The Leavey School and Management Department have a close relationship with the Markkula Center for Applied Ethics, a university resource that is the largest university-based applied ethics center in the world with 22 staff and programs in business ethics, corporate governance, nonprofit ethics, bioethics, government ethics, journalism ethics, and character education. The Center has in-depth relationships with Silicon Valley corporations and professional groups, and sponsors faculty and student research.
