Dear SIMians,
Greenleaf Publishing is delighted to be sponsoring the SIM Best Dissertation Award at AOM this year. We would like to invite you to join us at our 'Meet and Greet' at the Academy of Management in Vancouver, BC.
The community event is taking place at the Greenleaf Publishing booth on Sunday, 9 August from 3pm to 5pm. The event will provide you with an opportunity to discuss book proposals, talk to Greenleaf authors and hear about our plans for the future. We will be celebrating the launch of recent titles and many of our authors and editors will be there, including Steve Schein, author of A New Psychology for Sustainable Leadership, Stuart L. Hart, co-editor of Base of the Pyramid 3.0, Dima Jamali and Charlotte Karam, co-editors of Development-Oriented Corporate Social Responsibility and Edward Lawler, co-editor of Corporate Stewardship. Refreshments will be served.
Day: Sunday 9th August
Start Time: 3.00pm to 5.00pm
Venue: Greenleaf Publishing/Stylus Publishing booth, Academy of Management 2015 Exhibit Hall
Of course, if you're not able to join us at this time, please feel free to call by our booth when you have a free moment. Alternatively, if you are not attending the conference but would like to find out more about the work we do please contact Rebecca Marsh, Publishing Director. Greenleaf Publishing has been publishing leading research in both books and journals in corporate responsibility, sustainability, business ethics and governance for over 20 years and we have many exciting books publishing in 2015 and 2016.
We have been very pleased by the positive feedback we have received from new authors and editors recently. Here are just a few examples:
"I am delighted and grateful for this recognition and feel gratitude for Greenleaf Publishing, as the first-rate publisher it is. Greenleaf Publishing is at the very forefront of today's and tomorrow's emerging sustainability issues." - William Frederick, Professor Emeritus, Katz Graduate School of Business, University of Pittsburgh
"You... are interested in developing a mutually beneficial and transparent partnership with authors. I think this is unique."- Oliver Laasch, Manchester Business School
"It is delightful to work with you. I have a sense that as we get going, if even more fabulous ideas come up or we find ourselves in a spot of bother, you will guide us through!" - Maria Humphries, Waikato Management School
We are thrilled that our books are received so well within the community and that the disciplines are growing in importance. As a result, we are expanding our portfolio and are seeking new book proposals. We welcome suggestions for new monographs, textbooks and edited collections from all areas of sustainability and social responsibility. We are particularly commissioning titles in the areas of:
- Business ethics
- Corporate responsibility
- Leadership and innovation
- Sustainable management
- Gender and diversity
- Sustainability in transport and tourism
- Sustainability in agriculture and food production
- Sustainable production and consumption and the supply chain
- Environmental management and accounting
All Greenleaf books and journals are now digitized in the Greenleaf Online Library (GOL) and to coincide with the AOM we are offering the opportunity for you to access the online collection for free, during your summer recess; thereby allowing you to appraise our entire portfolio of Greenleaf e-book chapters and journal articles at your leisure. Please enquire here for further information.
We would be delighted to hear from you if you have any book proposals in mind. Please contact Rebecca Marsh or Rebecca Macklin (the 2 Rebeccas!) if you would like to discuss any proposals with us.
With best wishes,
Becky Macklin
