Dear Fellow SIMians:
I hope this email finds you all well. As I announced at the SIM Business Meeting at Vancouver AOM, we're expanding the SIMian – the SIM Division Newsletter. We need at least four more members for this new founding SIMian Team. We're looking for 2 faculty members and 2 doctoral students, including international members. There are tons of advantages to join SIMian Team. Most of all, you're more involved in the SIM Division activities and events, as you communicate with fellow SIMians frequently. Also you may implement you own creative ideas in the SIMian such as interviews, articles, essays, photos, etc. Don't have any experiences in a newsletter before? No worry, I will guide you to become a successful academic journalist. (In fact I had no experience when I was assigned the SIM Newsletter Editor position .) The next issue of the SIMian will be published in September 2015, so don't wait! Just send me an email RIGHT NOW! Here I would like to remind you of Eric Schmidt's advice for Sheryl Sandberg: "If you're offered a seat on a rocket ship, get on, don't ask what seat. Look for growth. Look for the teams that are growing quickly. Look for the companies that are doing well. Look for a place where you feel that you can have a lot of impact." So, let's get on the SIMian Team and blast off together!
Look forward to hearing from you!
