    The School of Business at the University of Kansas is searching for an Assistant or Associate  Professor in Organizational Behavior/Human Resources for the 2016-2017 academic year. We seek a candidate with research interests in Organizational Behavior or Human Resources, including those at the intersection of these two research domains. Appointment at a particular level will be based on an applicant's scholarly and teaching record. This is a full-time, tenure-track position beginning August 18, 2016.

    The University of Kansas is the flagship state-sponsored university of the State of Kansas, with world class competencies in a wide variety of fields. The university is located in Lawrence, KS, a city 40 minutes west of Kansas City. The Management Area encompasses Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management, Strategy, International Business, and Entrepreneurship. The faculty include Ron Ash, Vince Barker, Venkat Bendapudi, Melissa Birch, Clint Chadwick, Tailan Chi, Niki den Nieuwenboer, Jim Guthrie, Dennis Karney, Minyoung Kim, Jay Lee, Douglas May, Wally Meyer, Laura Poppo, Kristi Rogers, Catherine Schwoerer, Dan Spencer, and Jane Zhao.
     
    DUTIES:
    40%     Teach a combination of required and elective courses in Organizational Behavior/Human Resources at the undergraduate, MBA and doctoral levels.
    40%     Conduct and publish research on Organizational Behavior/Human Resources in leading academic journals. 
    20%     Engage in school, university, and professional service activities as needed.
     
    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    1.     A PhD or D.B.A. in Organizational Behavior/Human Resources or a closely related field; (must complete or have reasonable expectation of completing the degree by August 18, 2016);  
    2.     Evidence of potential for engaging in high quality research and teaching Organizational Behavior/Human Resources courses.

    Evaluation of these requirements will be made through (1) letter of application describing experience and accomplishments; (2) record of productivity in teaching, research and service as noted in CV; (3) research statement and supplemental materials (e.g., publications); (4) teaching statement and supplemental materials (teaching portfolio, sample syllabi, teaching evaluations); (5) information provided by three professional letters of reference.
     
    For appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor:
    1. A Ph.D. or D.B.A. degree in Organizational Behavior/Human Resources or a closely related field (must be earned by August 18, 2016.)
    2. Demonstrated teaching excellence in Organizational Behavior/Human Resources.
    3. Demonstrated excellent scholarship (or potential for excellent scholarship) as shown through publications and working papers.
     
    For appointment at the rank of Associate Professor:
    1. A Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior/Human Resources or a closely related field.
    2. Record of productive teaching excellence in Organizational Behavior/Human Resources.
    3. Demonstrated excellent scholarship as shown through publications that have enabled the candidate to be successfully promoted to Associate Professor at research-oriented university of a similar or higher research profile as the University of Kansas. 
     
    APPOINTMENT:
    Full year appointments will begin September 3, 2016.
     
    ADVERTISED SALARY RANGE:

    Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
