I am contacting you with regard to a new book from Greenleaf Publishing which I hope is of interest.

Natalie Ralph's Peacemaking and the Extractive Industries: Towards a Framework for Corporate Peace is published on 17^th September and explores the diplomatic role of corporations in peace processes. While focusing on transnational corporations in the oil and mining sectors, the analysis is relevant to all sectors in countries experiencing violent conflict, as well as instability, human rights abuses and poor governance. Taking a global approach, the book demonstrates that Corporate Peaceamaking is a potentially powerful element in global governance and peace efforts; based on rigorous academic research with practical case studies, it is essential reading for practitioners, academics, policy-makers and NGOs.

Natalie Ralph, PhD, is a Research Fellow at Deakin University, Australia and she also consults through Corporate Peacebuilders. Featuring Forewords from Sir Mark Moody-Stuart, Chairman of the Foundation for the Global Compact, and Per L. Saxegaard, Chairman and Founder of the Business for Peace Foundation, the book has been described as a 'terrific addition to business and peace literature' by Timothy Fort, Everleigh Chair in Business Ethics, Indiana University.
