    Hi All (with apologies for cross postings),

     

    We are currently seeking an individual who is interested in teaching a short summer course in sustainable finance.  The course is 50% online (7 week term), dates are 5/11/15-6/24/15.  It meets on Wednesday evenings from 6:00-9:15 PM and online.  The students are MBA or Master of Finance, some of them are working on a concentration in Sustainable Management Practices.  Penn State Great Valley is in Malvern, PA which is about 25 miles west of Center City Philadelphia.

     

     

    The course description is below:

     

    Finance and Investment for Sustainable Growth (BUSAD 824)
    (typically offered in fall)
    This graduate course provides students with an in-depth exploration of the theories and the applications that financial professionals can leverage to simultaneously earn a profit and have a positive impact on society. The specific financial sectors examined include: Capital Markets (to address environmental issues), Commercial Banking (to create sustainable economic development), Project Finance (to reduce poverty and create infrastructure development), and Investment Management (to understand and employ socially responsible investing).
