WATCH THIS NEW 3 MINUTE VIDEO INTRODUCTION TO GVV AND THE ONLINE INTERACTIVE SOCIAL COHORT-BASED MODULES!

This series of 6 online GVV modules that we built in partnership with Nomadic are really taking off! In our first push, they have been integrated with both graduate and undergraduate courses from 9 different academic institutions spanning the globe--from the US, to the Philippines, to Australia and Canada. They are being used to enhance the in person experience across a variety of disciplines including traditional ethics courses, management courses, government + society courses and leadership courses.

We have received great feedback from both students and professors. In one of our current engagements, a cohort of 53 students has made over 3,000 comments (an average of 53 per user) within the social exercises and logged more than 1,200 total learning hours in just over a month! These modules introduce the core GVV concepts and methodologies and provide opportunities to practice with these approaches as foundation for subsequent in-class discussion. These modules are short, customizable and creatively designed to incorporate brief cases; clear and compelling presentation of core GVV concepts; engaging animations and powerful video segments; opportunities to practice application of the GVV methodologies; and opportunities to engage in peer exchanges. Contact Mgentile3@babson.edu if you are interested in learning more and/or participating.

The GVV/CHINA Curriculum Collection is well launched with at least TEN faculty already signed on and quite a few others who are interested in learning more. The goal is to create a suite of China -specific GVV cases, much as we did with INDIA last year, and in the process to engage a group of lead users among esteemed Chinese business school faculty. We are very fortunate to have Liang Yu as Project Manager for this initiative.

The GVV/EGYPT Curriculum Collection will be launched in Cairo in early May with a Workshop sponsored by the German University of Cairo and the I.L.O.! The goal is to create a suite of Egypt-specific GVV cases, much as we did with INDIA last year and are doing with CHINA now, and in the process to engage a group of esteemed Egyptian business school faculty and business persons.

GVV ACROSS THE CURRICULUM:  See Educating for Values-Driven Leadership: Giving Voice To Values Across the Curriculum for chapters on using GVV in courses like Accounting, Economics, Operations, Marketing, Leadership, as well as Sustainability, Social Entrepreneurship and Ethics.   This book was published as part of the United Nations Global Compact PRME book series.

GVV COURSE! An Intensive GVV Elective has been piloted at Babson and adapted for use elsewhere. The course - Leadership When It Really Counts: An Action Practicum - has 3 components: (1) students are introduced to and experience GVV themselves; (2) they develop GVV cases and teaching plans in a functional area or industry of their choice; and then (3) they deliver the material to their peers in a workshop format. This LEARN-CREATE-SHARE model allows students to develop Peer Coaching Skills in enacting their values and allows their institutions the chance to develop a co-branded collection of GVV materials. The course can be offered as a regular course, a half course and/or a two-weekend intensive workshop/course. If you or one of your colleagues would like to offer this course, please contact us for more information: Mgentile3@babson.edu

VIDEOS, ARTICLES, INTERVIEWS, OP-EDS: There are lots of other materials that can be used in your teaching at the book website, www.MaryGentile.com, under the "Media Room" and the "Other Writing" tabs. Most of them are FREE.  Of particular interest is the 8 minute video introduction to GVV from McKinsey Quarterly.
