Dear colleagues,
We would like to remind you of the approaching deadline for submissions to our research workshop on "Paradoxes in Corporate Sustainability: Managing Tensions between Social, Economic, and Environmental Issues". This one-day workshop for developing research on the management of tensions between social, economic, and environmental issues in organizations will be held on 6 August 2015 (the day before the AOM Meeting) in the Library Square Conference Centre in Vancouver, BC. We will bring together perspectives from paradox theory, corporate sustainability, corporate social responsibility, and hybrid organizations. The workshop will include paper development sessions and panel sessions.
To submit a working paper for the paper development sessions please contact Frank Figge (figge@sustainablevalue.com) with an extended abstract of five pages by 2 March 2015. We will notify you of the acceptance of your paper by 13 March 2015 (to allow for coordinated travel arrangements with AOM Meeting attendance). To attend the workshop without presenting a paper, please contact Frank Figge by 13 March 2015. We will notify you regarding your place at the workshop by 20 March 2015. Attendance is free thanks to the generous support by KEDGE Business School, the University of Manchester and Royal Holloway University of London.
Places for both attendance and to submit a working paper are strictly limited. Please apply early to avoid disappointment.
Attached please find a leaflet with more information on the workshop. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions.
There is a call for papers for a Special Thematic Symposium of the Journal of Business Ethics related to the workshop guest edited by the workshop organizers. Participation at the workshop is not a requirement for submitting to the special thematic symposium but highly encouraged. The call for papers for the special thematic symposium can be found here.
We look forward to seeing you in Vancouver.
Best regards,
Frank, Tobias, Jonatan, and Lutz
