(rank open)
Grenoble Ecole de Management invites applications for a full-time position in strategy and/or technology management with a research focus on strategy in the energy sector or energy technology management or corporate carbon management. (Starting date September 2015)
Grenoble Ecole de Management (www.grenoble-em.com) is a fast growing business school located at the foot of the French Alps in a vibrant and growing metropolitan area with a strong emphasis on high-tech industries (e.g. energy, nanotechnologies, and microelectronics). The School benefits from this community and has established a strong reputation in the management of technology and innovation. Grenoble Ecole de Management (GEM) has the triple accreditation AACSB, EQUIS, and AMBA. Degrees awarded include Masters (with a specialized master in Energy Marketing and Strategy), MBAs, DBAs, and PhDs. GEM is also an associated partner of KIC InnoEnergy, a European institution for innovation, business creation and education in sustainable energy.
Grenoble Ecole de Management is regularly ranked among the top 20 business schools in Europe; in 2010, its Master of International Business program was ranked 5th in the Financial Times Global Masters ranking. The School's faculty has published in leading international journals such as Academy of Management Review; Academy of Management Journal, Strategic Management Journal, Journal of International Business Studies, Research Policy, Energy Economics, Energy Journal, and Energy Policy. Resources for faculty include a generous research budget, and competitive compensation with an additional research-based bonus system.
The Department of Management, Technologies and Strategy invites applications for a full-time position (rank open). New faculty will be expected to contribute, in particular, to the Department's research efforts and reputation in the areas of strategy in the energy sector or energy technology management or corporate carbon management and to teach mostly graduate and post-graduate courses in strategic management/innovation management. The position will be placed in GEM's Energy Team.
Successful candidates should demonstrate their commitment and ability to conduct excellent academic research with the objective of publishing in top-ranked journals (more senior candidates should have an established international research record and network, junior candidates the potential to develop a top-level research agenda). Candidates should also demonstrate their ability to teach successfully for various levels and audiences and their willingness to be involved in the institution. A specific requirement for this position is the ability to reach out to business in the form of training courses, workshops and (applied) research. A good working knowledge of the French language would be a strong asset, but not a requirement.
Please submit your application materials (letter of motivation, curriculum vitae, 2 references, and up to 3 recent publications or working papers) via email to the Head of the Department, Severine Le Loarne (severine.leloarne@grenoble-em.com), and to the Coordinator of the Energy Team, Joachim Schleich (joachim.schleich@grenoble-em.com), before 1 April 2015.
