[The SIMian] Call for Interviewees

    Dear SIMians,

How many fellow SIMians do you know, among more than 1,600 SIM division members (as of March 2016)?  Also, how many other SIMians have you met and talked with?

No, please don't feel regretful, whether you know only 4 SIM members, or 414 members.  You're not the only one with this lonely crowd issue.  In order to tackle this problem, in the last issue (December 2015), the SIMian launched a regular interview feature to introduce our fellow SIM members.  We would like to move it forward, nominating more SIMians to be interviewed and introduced as a part of this section!

We are looking for people who reflect the great tapestry of places, people, organizational contexts and issues that embody SIM.  These include those who are conducting unusual research in SIM areas, teaching interesting/innovative SIM-relevant courses/subjects, and enhancing a unique perspective in the SIM-related practices and projects, as well as those whose paths to the SIM division were unique.

Do you know someone who SIMians should all get to know?  Do you have any episodes, experiences, and/or stories to share with other SIMians?  If you have someone in mind, please email us at the.sim.editor@gmail.com.  We look forward to getting to know you better!

On behalf of the SIMian Team,
