**Announcing the 2014 Society for Business Ethics Emerging Scholars Program**

One of the most valuable accomplishments of the Society for Business Ethics (SBE) is the warm and collegial mentorship environment it has created for PhD students. For a number of years the society has coordinated a mentorship program, and in 2012, the Society began holding a special workshop for our emerging scholar PhD students at its Annual Meeting.

It is our pleasure to announce the 2014 emerging scholars to you:

    Keith William Diener, Georgetown University
    Zeynep Fortis, University of Neuchâtel
Jordi Vives Gabriel, University of St Gallen
Philipp Herold, Leipzig Graduate School of Management
    Kristin Huber,  University of Hamburg
Shazia Rehman Khan, COMSATS Institute of Information Technology
    Jooho Lee, University of Pennsylvania
    Emilio Marti, University of Zurich
    Falko Paetzold, University of Zurich
    Tracy Nicole Rank-Christman, Rutgers University
    David Risi, University of St.Gallen
    Abraham Singer, University of Toronto

We'll kick things off with an Emerging Scholar dinner on the night of Thursday, July 31st, followed by drinks at the SBE conference hotel – the Radisson Blu Warwick Hotel, Philadelphia. The next morning, on Friday, August 1st, the PhD students will attend the "Emerging Scholars Workshop & Networking Event" at the Radisson Blu Warwick Hotel, Philadelphia.  The main goal of this workshop is to provide PhD students with a networking opportunity with senior members of the Society for Business Ethics.

We are thrilled to announce the 2014 emerging scholar workshop mentors:

    John Boatright, Loyola University Chicago
    Joanne Ciulla, University of Richmond
Dawn Elm, University of St. Thomas
Ken Goodpaster, University of St. Thomas
Kendy Hess, College of the Holy Cross
    Jeremy Moon, Copenhagen Business School

    Rob Phillips, University of Richmond
    Andreas Rasche, Copenhagen Business School
    Diana Robertson, University of Pennsylvania
    Amy Sepinwall, University of Pennsylvania
    Pat Werhane, DePaul University

The Emerging Scholar Workshop will include activities over breakfast, two professional development workshops led by our faculty mentors – including interactive discussions with students – followed by lunch. Later, on Friday evening, we will make a toast to our past and present Emerging Scholars at the SBE Emerging Scholars Reception, where students will be introduced to the rest of the members of the Society.

Finally, each year, the SBE Founders' Award is given to promising PhD students in the field of business ethics. The award is named for the twenty or so farsighted professors who organized the Society in 1980. As recipients of the Founders' Award, this year's Emerging Scholars will be recognized at the Presidential Luncheon to be held Saturday, August 2nd, at 12:30 pm in the Radisson Blu Warwick Hotel, Philadelphia. Past and present Founders' Award recipients are also invited to take part in the "Founders' Award Luncheon" on Sunday, August 3rd. This luncheon is designed to help the SBE PhD students and early career scholars stay in touch and build their community.

Please join us in welcoming the newest cast of SBE Emerging Scholars!

Pat Werhane, Sareh Pouryousefi, Rob Phillips, and Jeff Frooman
