Zietsma; U. of Victoria; SIMian Speed Dating is a fast, fun and highly engaging format to facilitate interpersonal connections among SIMians in a structured way. We have invited a number of senior and mid- career scholars in a range of SIM topic areas available to talk with workshop participants in 10 minute intervals. Each participant/invited scholar pair will introduce themselves, share their research interests and a quick discussion, then move on at the sound of a bell to the next person. We will break the groups into broad topic areas so that each participant has an opportunity to meet several scholars in their topic area. While pre-registration is not absolutely required, we encourage you to email one of the organizers before August 1st with your topic choices so we can ensure you meet with the scholars of most interest to you. Topic choices include: cross-sector partnerships, social entrepreneurship, base of the pyramid, stakeholders, ethics and values, corruption, CSR, corporate political activity/business government relations and corporate governance. In addition to the listed participants, other surprise guests will be there! |
