Postdoctoral Fellow – Position Announcement
The University of Pittsburgh (Pittsburgh, PA) School of Business and the David Berg Center for Ethics and Leadership (http://www.business.pitt.edu/berg/news/index.php), is seeking a postdoctoral fellow based in Pittsburgh to serve as a key member of our corporate social responsibility and ethical leadership research team.
DESCRIPTION: The fellowship is a two-year appointment and is funded by the Berg Center for Ethics and Leadership via a
grant from the Berg Foundation. The overarching goal of the project is to advance the understanding of corporate social responsibility, ethics and leadership within complex organizational environments. Specific models will be tested using a variety of empirical methodologies and sophisticated statistical techniques.
In addition to joining ongoing research activities examining corporate social responsibility, ethics and leadership, the fellow
will assist with the development of new research efforts, coordinate workshops and supervise independent research by undergraduate and graduate students. Emphasis is on the ability of the fellow to analyze existing data and create publication-ready manuscripts for key academic outlets. Support is available to attend at least one national research or professional conference annually.
QUALIFICATIONS: A candidate's doctorate can be in any relevant field with preference given to degrees in business management or psychology. Experience in and knowledge of corporate social responsibility and theories of ethics and leadership in business are required. Candidates must have some experience in publishing and other research-related activities. Preference will be given to individuals who have experience and interest in light teaching within the undergraduate business program. Preference will be given to candidates who have had some exposure to grant writing. Starting date is flexible and can be as early as January, 2013. Salary range is $32k to $40k (depending on qualifications) plus full benefits for the 12 month period.
