    With apologies for cross-postings:

The Business Ethics Journal Review (BEJR) is a venture in 21st century academic publishing, edited by Chris MacDonald (Ryerson University; the Business Ethics Blog) and Alexei Marcoux (Loyola University Chicago).

BEJR isn't a journal; it's a journal _review_. Journals do a pretty good job of vetting and disseminating original research. They're less good at facilitating and amplifying the critical conversation following publication. That's where BEJR comes in.

BEJR publishes refereed commentaries-short essays of 500-2000 words addressing critically an aspect of a recently published business ethics journal article or book. Authors commented upon in BEJR have a standing invitation to reply to a commentary on their work. Others may then reply and rejoin-either formally, by submitting a commentary, or informally, by submitting a blog comment.

    BEJR promises:

Fast editorial process: BEJR aims to give authors full resolution – from submission to publication – in thirty days.

Faster publication: BEJR publishes immediately, in final form, on acceptance. That's because each commentary is its own issue of BEJR. Your commentary appears as a handsome, self-contained PDF-complete with high production values.

Free, open access: There are no subscription walls, library access portals, or other impediments to reading your work. If you can click on it, you can read it.

21st century publicity model: BEJR is social, publicizing its commentaries on Twitter, Facebook, and business ethics- and CSR-themed listservs.

Back-and-forth, give-and-take: Commented-upon authors are invited to respond formally via submission to BEJR and have a standing invitation to do so. Commentaries also as appear as blogposts on the Business Ethics Journal Review website, so there is a vehicle for informal feedback by way of blog comments, as well.
