Why did we create the community? In April 2012, 60 representatives of sustainability centres attended a workshop hosted by NBS in London, Canada. Their goals were to find efficiencies, increase their impact, and form new partnerships. The participants from this group stated clearly the need to have greater communication and collaboration. NBS, as a non-profit that serves the communities of research and practice, volunteered to coordinate this activity.
