Hello everyone-

We are ready for another great group of applicants for the fourth PhD Sustainability Academy, an annual event of the Alliance for Research on Corporate Sustainability (ARCS) that Ivey will host again this fall (November 17^th - 22^nd).

This year's theme is Passion and Compassion for Sustainability, and our 2011 faculty are:

Oana Branzei (Host), Richard Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario

Melissa Cardon, Lubin School of Business, Pace University

Jane Dutton, Ross School of Business, University of Michigan

Michael Pratt, Carroll School of Management, Boston College

Chris Steyaert, University of St. Gallen

Two ARCS founders will co-host the launch of the fourth PhD Sustainability Academy on November 17, 2011: Tom Lyon, Director of the Erb Institute for Global Sustainable Enterprise at the University of Michigan and John Maxwell, Professor of Business Economics and Public Policy at the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University.

The application deadline is August 30^th.

Please encourage anyone you know does sustainability work (theme-related or not) and is still enrolled in a doctoral program during the 2011-2012 academic year to apply. We cover the local expenses and there is a cash award ($500) for the best paper.
