Invitation to Reception and Community Gathering for Caring Economics Work
Grand Hyatt Republic A
Saturday, August 13, 2011, 5 to 7 pm
Sponsor: Center for Partnership Studies (partnershipway.org)
We would like to invite any Academy participants who are interested in transforming our societies, organizations, institutions, and leaders through Caring Economics - and, more specifically, through Care - to gather for a special reception and community gathering. Join us to share strategies, ideas, and experiences in putting humans back into the business equation - and to be part of a caring community of management scholars, and practitioners who want to foster a socioeconomic system in which genuine caring for people and nature is a top priority. Meet Riane Eisler and the rest of the Caring Economics leadership team! Dr. Eisler is the author of The Chalice and The Blade: Our History, Our Future (Harper-Collins, 1988, now in 23 languages) and most recently of The Real Wealth of Nations: Creating a Caring Economics (Berrett-Koehler, 2008).
We especially want to invite the people attending our Symposium ("Women, Men, and Care in the New East-West Economy") and our PDW's ("Transforming Institutions and Leaders in Support of Caring Economics Principles, Policies and Practices" and "Shaping Caring Cultures and Strategies in Organizations)" to join us!
