Access to credit, lack of infrastructures, weak governance; but also, education, famine, bribery: these are only few of the many complex issues that daily affect entrepreneurs in developing countries.
While coordinated partnerships between business, governments and NGOs are required to design and implement effective growth and poverty-reduction strategies, the development of local human capital and fostering entrepreneurial culture are key factors in order to concretely tackle the root of many of these big complex issues.
In preparation of the 2011 EABIS-INSEAD Colloquium, a webinar will draw on the experience of two EABIS schools in launching and supporting managerial education programmes that promote entrepreneurship in Nigeria and Kenya .
The webinar represents an opportunity to reflect upon the role of management education in addressing key issues affecting entrepreneurs and their local communities in Africa.
