    Dear colleagues

The GRONEN Research Conference 2012 "Corporate Sustainability – Off to Pastures New or Back to the Roots?" will be held on 26-29 June in Saint Maximin la Sainte Baume in the beautiful Provence region in southern France, organized by Euromed Management Marseille in collaboration with the oikos Foundation.

As a distinctive highlight GRONEN 2012 will feature a theory development workshop entitled "What constitutes a theoretical contribution?" held by Prof David A. Whetten of the Marriott School of Management at Brigham Young University. This workshop offers participants with the unique opportunity to benefits from the knowledge of one of the most distinguished management theory scholars. During a 3 hour workshop David Whetten will provide guidance for the development of theory in the field of management.

David Whetten describes his workshop as follows:

"Since focusing AMR on theory development in 1989, during my editorship, I have continued to explore how theory is and can best be used within our field. This workshop examines the distinctive domain of theory, different kinds of theory, ways to make theoretical contributions. You will then be guided through a middle-range theory development exercise using your 'favorite concept'."

More information on the conference programme can be found here: www.gronen2012.org/programme/. The deadline for submissions to the conference is 15 February 2012 (see: www.gronen2012.org/call-for-papers/).

We invite you to benefit from this great opportunity and participate at the conference and look forward to see you in sunny Southern France!

    Kind regards

    Tobias and Frank
