"I found the Summer Doctoral Institute to be enjoyable, rewarding, and productive. My mentor and I made significant progress in conceiving, developing, and realizing a serious research project in a short period of time. I was pushed to take the lead on the project, which is good for my development as a researcher, but also benefited from co-authorship with an experienced academic. As a sociologist, partnership with a business scholar exposed me to new literature, and I hope that this inter-disciplinary work will contribute to our understanding of institutions and development."
