Wicklander Chair in Business Ethics and Managing Director of its Institute for Business and Professional Ethics (IBPE).
DEPAUL UNIVERSITY, Chicago, IL. DePaul University invites applications for its Wicklander Chair in Business Ethics and Managing Director of its Institute for Business and Professional Ethics (IBPE). Drawing upon the Catholic mission and identity of DePaul University, the Wicklander Chair plays a leading role in developing ethics education at the University. The position is jointly supported by both the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences and the Driehaus College of Business. The Institute consists of a full-time staff and an external Board of Directors comprised of business executives from the Chicago area. The mission of the IBPE is "to facilitate ethical deliberation by stirring the moral conscience and by developing models for ethical decision-making in business and the professions." It does this through educational programs and initiatives aimed at DePaul students and faculty and by serving as a bridge between the academic and the business communities. Professional organizations and business leaders from Chicago and around the globe recognize the IBPE and its Wicklander Chair for its expertise and substantial body of research. The successful candidate should be an internationally recognized scholar with a distinguished record in research, publication, and teaching. We will consider applicants at the rank of either Associate or Full Professor. The position involves the administration of the IBPE, in addition to modest teaching obligations.
