Non-Tenure Track Position in Business Ethics/Business & Society
The Katz Graduate School of Business and College of Business Administration at the University of Pittsburgh seeks applications for a full-time, non-tenure track professor (rank open) in Business Ethics/Business and Society starting Summer or Fall 2016. Primary teaching responsibilities will include undergraduate and/or MBA courses in managerial ethics/business & society; teaching may also include other related subject areas. Preference will be given to candidates with significant teaching experience at the MBA level; evidence of teaching effectiveness is required for all applicants. Candidates should have knowledge of and experience with effective teaching in these subject areas taking a managerial approach. While the primary activity for this individual will center on the development and execution of high quality teaching, some research activity is expected in order to maintain academic qualification standards. Normally, the research interests of the candidate should fall within the current domains of research in the leading academic associations in this area, such as the Social Issues in Management Division of the Academy of Management (see its current domain statement online), the International Association for Business and Society, and the Society for Business Ethics, and as reflected in the leading journals in this field. For consideration, any candidate should have their dissertations completed prior to starting the position in the summer or fall of 2016.
