Howdy SIMians. Though Spring only begrudgingly appears in the US Northeast, before long we'll be sweating in the Florida heat while attending the annual Academy of Management conference.
You should've received notification recently that registration for the conference and conference housing is now open. If you haven't, here's a link:

The Divisions are assigned to a particular hotel, and Division events and sessions are primarily housed in the designated hotel. For SIM, our hotel is the Coronado Springs Resort:

It looks lovely, but it is also a bit off the beaten path, as you can see from this map:
http://aom.org/annualmeeting/housing/
AOM, and the Disney resort system, will arrange for transportation between the various venues, so it's not essential that you stay in the Coronado, but if you don't, please be aware that it will be less convenient for you to attend SIM sessions and events. Thus, I do strongly encourage you to stay in the Coronado. We won't be alone, by any means. The other Divisions housed in our hotel are:
RM
ODC
MED
PNP
ONE
HCM
CMS
PTC
TTC
(If you don't know what the above abbreviations mean, you can probably tie them back to the full Division name, available here: http://aom.org/DIG/)
Please note that I've made all the acceptance and rejection decisions for papers and symposia, but I cannot notify you until April 2nd, by mandate of the Academy. I'm assembling the program now, though. I have accepted 172 papers, spread across 39 division paper sessions and 4 discussion paper sessions. Further, I've (co)sponsored 13 symposia. In addition, we have an exciting PDW program that Harry Van Buren has assembled. So plenty to do. I hope you'll share in it with us by signing up for the conference and attending as many sessions as you can.
Best,
Mike
