    Copenhagen Business School invites applications for a vacant Assistant Professorship in Corporate Sustainability and Governance Research at the Department of Intercultural Communication and Management (ICM) within the Center for Corporate Social Responsibility (cbsCSR).

    Applications are invited from suitably qualified students who come with a strong research profile in ethical, responsible and sustainable business and its relationship to wider governance systems and questions; who have a clear potential for developing teaching excellence in the field; and who intend to explore:


    1. the relationship between sustainability and corporations; particularly how corporations can undermine or contribute to economic, social and environmental sustainability,

    2. how corporations' sustainability impacts are regulated by markets, civil society and governmental actors, and


    3. how corporations contribute to, and extend, wider governance systems for sustainability.

    The position offers the opportunity for the successful candidate to extend his/her own contribution to the field through research, publications and teaching; to collaborate with Jeremy Moon, Velux Professor of Corporate Sustainability; and to develop new projects in the field.

    The Assistant Professorship is a non-tenured position for a period of three years with both research and teaching obligations. To fulfill the requirements of the position, the applicant chosen is expected to be physically present on a regular basis and actively participate in various research and teaching activities of the Department.

    ICM carries out multidisciplinary research on the relationship between business and society. Its members study the interaction and intersection between organisational forms and practices in the socio-economic contexts in which they occur, using the lens of culture and communication to investigate organisations and the effect of organisations on society.
ICM's teaching responsibilities include undergraduate, graduate and doctoral teaching + post-experience/executive teaching in the fields of: 

    1. Organisation and Communication

    2. CSR/Responsible Business and Governance/Sustainability


    3. Management/Business (which also includes the emerging/growth economies context dimension)/Leadership related content, with a particular focus on context.

    Qualifications
 The applicant must hold (or expected to hold by 30th September, 2014) a PhD or the equivalent (e.g. Doctorate) in a relevant field. Candidates who cannot meet this requirement should indicate their expected date of submission. 
The applicant must have excellent professional proficiency in English (written and spoken).

Appointment and salary will be in accordance with the Ministry of Finance's agreement with the Central Academic Organisation.
