Social Issues in Management Division's Doctoral Student Consortium!

    Application Deadline: June 30, 2017

The Social Issues in Management Division is now accepting applications for the 2017 Doctoral Student Consortium to be held at the Academy of Management meeting in Atlanta, GA. The Consortium will bring together doctoral students and experienced SIM faculty to discuss opportunities and challenges in the field.

The Consortium will begin at 5pm on Thursday, August 3rd, with a kickoff Author's Workshop where Professor R. Edward Freeman of the Darden School at the University of Virginia will discuss his research and career in academia in an interview with scholar Michael Johnson (Bucknell University). Dinner will follow. On Friday the 4th, the Consortium will begin at 8:00am and finish at 4.30pm. The program will include panels and discussions on (a) success in the classroom, (b) success with co-authors, (c) success in publishing, and a host of other topics. Students will also receive detailed and constructive feedback on their work from an accomplished scholar in the field.

To ensure that space constraints do not affect your application, we recommend applying by June 1st at the latest.

Please note:  Acceptance into the consortium is via application only.

We look forward to hearing from you!
