    Position Summary

    The Desautels Faculty of Management at <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placename w:st="on">McGill</st1:placename> <st1:placetype w:st="on">University</st1:placetype></st1:place> is seeking candidates to fill a tenure-track position in Strategy and Organization at the rank of Assistant Professor.  Expected start date will be July 2009. McGill is a leading research-intensive university located in the heart of <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:city w:st="on">Montreal</st1:city></st1:place>. The Desautels Faculty of Management has over 70 full-time professors and over 3000 students in the following programs: BCom, MBA, PhD, and a range of executive offerings. Faculty in the area of Strategy and Organization have diverse interests and employ a variety of approaches in their research, which ranges from mainstream strategy, organization theory and international business to less traditional pursuits, including management in the context of developing countries, emerging economies and economies in transition; not-for-profit organizations; and environmental and social issues. Professors come from a variety of disciplinary backgrounds including Sociology, Economics, History, Development Studies, Management and Organization Theory.     Qualifications

    Minimum qualifications include: (1) Ph.D. degree (completed or expected by Fall 2009) in Management, Strategy, International Business, Organizational Theory, or a related field; (2) demonstrated potential to conduct and publish high quality research; and (3) evidence of effective teaching.
