    CALL FOR PROPOSALS

The Giving Voice To Values initiative has teamed up with Greenleaf Publishing (an imprint of Routledge) to produce a collection of books on Business Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility that will bring a practical, solutions-oriented, skill-building approach to the salient questions of values-driven leadership.

Giving Voice To Values (GVV) – the curriculum, the pedagogy and the research upon which it is based – was designed to transform the foundational assumptions upon which the teaching of business ethics is based, and importantly, to equip future business leaders to not only know what is right - but how to make it happen.

To this end, proposals are invited for concise (average 50,000 words, but shorter will be considered) business education and professional development books geared to the undergraduate, MBA and executive education markets, as well as practitioners. Books may be focused upon a functional area (e.g., Accounting Ethics); an industry (e.g., Ethics in the Financial Sector); a regional area (e.g., Practical Ethics in India); or some combination of the above.

Although it is fully expected that some manuscripts may well include a focus upon the theory and analysis of ethical questions, or the history and benchmarks of Corporate Social Responsibility as it has evolved, the intention of this collection is to emphasize research and/or experience-based practical examples and guidance on how to positively enact values-driven leadership positions, rather than to focus solely or primarily upon ethical debate. In this way, these books will be useful not only in traditional business ethics and CSR courses, but also in other core management disciplines and applied executive programs.

Greenleaf Publishing has been publishing leading research in both books and journals in the disciplines of business ethics, corporate governance, sustainability and social responsibility for more than 20 years and has an established international reputation. Greenleaf's clear focus enables it to work closely with authors, provide dedicated editorial and marketing support, and approach the right audiences. Greenleaf is committed to ethical and sustainable business. Its aim is to publish and promote cutting-edge research focusing on responsible business practice and action, offering sustainable solutions to some of the world's most pressing issues.

Interested authors are invited to discuss their ideas with Mary C. Gentile, Creator/Director of Giving Voice To Values, Professor of Practice at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business, and the Series Editor at GentileM@darden.virginia.edu.
