    SIM BOOK AWARD COMPETITION


    Please submit your nominations for the 2006 SIM Book Award. The winner will be announced at the August 2006 SIM business meeting. Both self-nominations and nominations of other people's work are encouraged.

    Book award committee members will choose a winning book which adheres to the following criteria:
            1. The book must have been published between 1992 and 2003.
            2. The book must have been reviewed in a major journal between 2001 and 2006.
            3. The book may have shared authorship or be a monograph.
            4. The book must not be an edited collection or a textbook.
            5. The book must deserve to be read, either by virtue of its impact on the field or its potential to have impact on the field.

    DEADLINE for nominations is March 24, 2006.

    To nominate, send an email to Kathy Getz (kgetz@american.edu) with the following information:
            1. FULL CITATION of the book
            2. FULL CITATION of at least one review of the book.
    Please write "SIM book award nomination" in the email subject line.
