Join as for the PDW: Why don't things happen? - Hurdles to green practices
Saturday, August 08, 2009 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM in Fairmont Chicago,
Ambassador Room
Background:
Green practices are considered more and more in business, but when it
comes to implementation, multiple barriers have to be faced.
Purpose:
This workshop intends to bring together hurdle researchers from
various fields to draw an overall picture of barrier research.
Potential hurdles and concepts about how to measure them as well as
overcome them will be looked into alongside discussions such as the
integration of hurdle research into organizational theories. During
the three hour workshop, participants can expect to gain insight into
various perspectives. Our objective is to discuss the state of the art
and the need for further research. We aim to integrate diverse
perspectives and leverage expertise. Finally, we intend to establish a
hurdle research network across AOM divisions and interest groups.
Structure:
1) Short welcome and introduction
2) Roundtables with focus on innovation/R&E and market
(procurement and sales as well as B2B and B2C)
a) Hurdles to technical innovations moderated by Kai Hockerts,
