Dear SIM colleagues,
Every year the Network for Business Sustainability asks sustainability practitioners to identify the issues on which they think researchers can most help their decision-making. Last year, their top priority was how to adapt their strategies to climate change. We commissioned a systematic review of the body of knowledge on that topic, and the findings are now available in several reports at www.nbs.net.
The study, which reviewed over 200 sources since 1997, includes five reports on the following topics:
- Report 1: Concepts & Theories
- Report 2: Current Practices
- Report 3: Case Studies & Tools
- Report 4: Knowledge Gaps & Future Research
- Study Methodology
The study's authors recommended developing more interdisciplinary theories, increasing the amount of critical reflection between scholars on business adaptation theory, and basing new theories on rigorous field work on how businesses understand adaptation.
The reports are available at http://www.nbs.net/KnowledgeDetails.aspx?Id=89f08a94-a6e6-4f54-9702-e2b9a8ea0c21
Happy reading!
Regards,
Tom
