Dear colleagues,
We would like to raise your attention to our recently published special issue on "Business Models for Sustainability: Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Transformation" in the journal Organization & Environment (guest editors: Stefan Schaltegger, Erik Hansen and Florian Lüdeke-Freund) which is now online: http://oae.sagepub.com/content/29/1.toc (issue of March 2016).
We developed this special issue very carefully over the course of almost 3 years and think that we have been able to collect a unique selection of papers (though-provoking papers vs. more mainstream, conceptual vs. empirical, senior vs. junior contributions).
We specifically want to highlight the excellent first contribution in the special issue by Nigel Roome and Céline Louche on "Journeying Toward Business Models for Sustainability: A Conceptual Model Found Inside the Black Box of Organisational Transformation". Nigel was an academic pioneer developing the intersection of sustainability, innovation and systems thinking. Moreover he was very influential in the development of curricula and government programmes around the world. Unfortunately he has passed away recently and far too early.
