Faculty Position in Corporate Social Responsibility, Environmental Sustainability and/or Business and Society

ESADE Business School-Ramon Llull University

ESADE Business School seeks to appoint a faculty member at Assistant or Associate professor level in the areas of Corporate Social Responsibility, Environmental Sustainability and/or Business and Society. The successful candidate is expected to join ESADE in September 2016.

Candidates should have a PhD and possess a proven record of research and scholarship in the areas announced and/or show a clear potential and motivation to publish in high quality journals. Excellent teaching skills are expected, since she/he should be able to teach mandatory courses on business and society, as well as elective courses, in our Master of Science, MBA and Executive Education programs. She/he should also be able to work along with PhD students.

The Department of Social Sciences at ESADE is a lively academic group, including professors teaching and doing research in sociology, ethics, CSR, sustainability, corporate political activity, and geopolitics. The Department has close links with European and US academic institutions and its members participate in international research projects.

In addition to the Department of Social Sciences, the successful candidate will be affiliated to the Institute for Social Innovation. The mission of the Institute is to create and disseminate knowledge to develop the capabilities of people and organizations in business and non-profit sectors that contribute to a fairer, more sustainable world through their own activities. ESADE comprises a business school and a law school, currently spread across three campuses: Barcelona, Sant Cugat del Vallès and Madrid. In turn, ESADE is a member of the Ramon Llull University. ESADE has co-operation agreements with many top universities around the globe and offers a wide range of programs in all branches of Business Administration and Law.

The salary for this position will be competitive. On top of the gross salary, assistance will be given towards the cost of relocation. It is not a requirement to speak Spanish, as the school is fully international. For non-Spanish speaking candidates, however, support is provided to learn the language if desired.
