I hope everyone has survived (fall or spring, depending on your hemisphere) grading and the holiday season. I'd like to provide an update on the number of reviewers who have already signed up to review for SIM for the 2014 Academy of Management annual meeting.
As of December 30, 185 folks have signed up to review for SIM. That's great news! But I anticipate being deluged by excellent submissions this year, or at least I hope so. Every year, more and more people submit to the division. For your program chair (me), that means I need as many kind, diligent, and competent reviewers as I can get. Your reviews not only help me select the right papers for the program, they also provide developmental feedback to submitters.
If you haven't signed up to review for SIM yet, I hope you'll do so. You may be asked to review up to three submissions, which can include papers and symposia. To sign up, please visit
http://review.aomonline.org. Reviewer sign-ups don't carry over from year to year, so even if you've reviewed for SIM in the past you'll need to sign up again this year to be a reviewer for the division. On the website you can create a user account and choose your areas of expertise. The sign-up process should not take more than 10 minutes.
You'll receive your review assignments with instructions around January 21, 2014, and you'll need to return the reviews by no later than February 20, 2014.
I look forward to being able to send out great submissions to great reviewers. Please sign up to review for SIM. Your service is greatly appreciated.
Thanks, and Happy New Year!
