Please apologize cross-postings...
Dear colleagues:
We are in the process of developing a PDW on modern day slavery and what it means in today's society. What is modern day slavery? What are its various forms? What are the legal and moral implications? Does the word, slavery, change meaning as we cross countries, cultures, and religions? In line with the theme of the 2014 AOM Theme, The Power of Words, we are seeking to better understand the meaning of modern day slavery. Our goal is to develop a network of scholars interested in research and publication opportunities in this area. At this time we are looking to find others who are working on research projects related to these topics as we formalize our PDW. Please contact us, Anke Arnaud (arnauda@erau.edu) or Janet Tinoco (tinocoj@erau.edu), if you are currently working on research related to modern day slavery and are interested in participating in this PDW.
