Tenure-Track Positions in Management
The University of Redlands School of Business invites applicants for open rank, tenure-track positions in Management. The School offers innovative undergraduate and graduate degree programs at locations throughout <st1:place w:st="on">Southern California</st1:place>. The <st1:placetype w:st="on">University</st1:placetype> of <st1:placename w:st="on">Redlands</st1:placename> is recognized as a premiere regional liberal education institution, situated on a picturesque campus in the city of <st1:city w:st="on">Redlands</st1:city>, within one hour of <st1:city w:st="on">Los Angeles</st1:city>, <st1:city w:st="on">Palm Springs</st1:city>, or the mountains and <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placetype w:st="on">Lake</st1:placetype> <st1:placename w:st="on">Arrowhead</st1:placename></st1:place>. At the time of appointment, applicants should have a completed or near completed doctorate (ABD) in Management or closely related field. We are particularly interested in candidates possessing demonstrable expertise or research interest in any of the following areas: Strategy, Sustainable Enterprise Management, and/or Entrepreneurship/SME. Sustainability is a core theme of the School and University, and candidates with expertise in this field would help shape the School's sustainability strategy, as well as develop and teach new courses in support of this theme. Candidates in Strategy would teach both undergraduate and graduate strategy courses as well as help design and guide the integrated, "enterprise-wide" capstone experience. Applicants should have a record of achievement in their functional area and a vibrant interest in teaching, adult learners, and business education within the context of traditional liberal arts and sciences disciplines. The <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placetype w:st="on">School</st1:placetype> of <st1:placename w:st="on">Business</st1:placename></st1:place> recognizes the importance of applied research in a variety of quality outlets as well as cross-disciplinary research. Practitioner experience in business-related activities is highly desirable, as are experience or strong interest in cross-functional teaching and research; desire to work with other faculty and with practitioners to create and implement innovative curricula and learning approaches, and desire and ability to experiment with and implement technology-enhanced learning. Hires beyond the Assistant Professor level must be justified through significant and sustained professional activity. The School operates without discipline-based departments.
