Micro CSR Track: Example Topic Areas
Micro-CSR research refers to CSR research conducted at the individual-level of analysis. In this Micro CSR Track our focus is on theory and research that advances the understanding of how, why, and when individual job seekers and employees perceive and react to CSR. (Other individual-level CSR research may be better suited for other CRRC Tracks, such as "Consumer Behaviour and CSR"). The Micro CSR sessions at CRRC will be interactive and designed to foster constructive discussion, collaboration, and feedback to the presenting authors.
We encourage submissions on topics that include, but are certainly not limited to, the following:
· How do job seekers and employees learn about and make sense of information about an employer's CSR, and what factors affect their judgments and perceptions of it?
· What underlying mechanisms best explain job seeker and employee responses to CSR?
· What are the individual-, group-, and macro-level factors that serve as boundary conditions for the strength of the relationships between CSR and job seeker/employee outcomes?
· What types of job seekers and employees respond positively and/or negatively to an employer's CSR?
· How can individual leaders and organizations effectively communicate about CSR to job seekers and employees?
· What factors drive employee engagement in CSR initiatives, and how does their engagement affect their perceptions and reactions to CSR?
· How might individual-level data contribute to the understanding of meso- (firm) and macro-level CSR effects?
